1. Introduction
Welcome to Vocabulary App ("we," "our," or "us"). This application is developed by Syeda Soghat Zehra Jaffri as an educational tool specifically designed for candidates preparing for CSS, PMS, UPSC, and other global competitive exams. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any data handled by our App.
2. Information Collection and Use
Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or request any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or phone number).
Study Progress: To ensure a smooth learning experience without repetitive words, we store a "Current Index" locally on your device. This data is private and never leaves your phone.
Media/Storage: The App requests permission to access your device’s storage solely to Save & Share vocabulary word-cards to your gallery as requested by you.
3. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
To keep this educational resource free for all students, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob may collect and use non-personal data (such as Device ID or Advertising ID) to show relevant ads.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this App and/or other sites on the Internet.

4. Permissions & Functionality
In accordance with our App's features:
Text-to-Speech (TTS): We use the Android system’s local engine to provide pronunciations for word-cards.
Internet Access: Required for loading AdMob banners, Interstitial ads, and supporting the share feature.
Storage Write: Required to export and save the generated vocabulary cards to your device.
5. Data Safety & Security
No Data Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share any user information with third parties, except for the non-personal device identifiers used by Google AdMob for ad delivery.
Encryption: Any data handled by third-party ad providers is encrypted in transit by Google’s security protocols.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App is intended for students and adults preparing for professional competitive exams. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
7. Compliance (GDPR/CCPA)
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since we do not store personal identifiers on our servers, we fulfill the "Privacy by Design" requirement. You can control your ad preferences through your Android System Settings.
